Community Guidelines
These guidelines keep Kykez a fun, safe and positive place for everyone. They apply to all users, regardless of whether you're a sender or recipient.
The Golden Rule: Treat every person on Kykez the way you would want to be treated in real life. Anonymity is a privilege, not a shield for cruelty.
✅ What We Encourage
- Sending kind, supportive, and funny messages
- Honest opinions shared respectfully
- Creative voice notes, drawings and photos
- Compliments, confessions, and genuine curiosity
- Reporting harmful content so we can remove it
- Using the block feature when messages make you uncomfortable
🚫 Absolutely Prohibited
Harassment & Bullying
Sending messages intended to embarrass, intimidate, or hurt someone. Repeated negative messages targeting one person. This includes name-calling, body shaming, and targeted insults.
Threats & Violence
Any threat of physical harm to a person or group, threats to expose private information ("I'll tell everyone…"), or messages designed to make someone fear for their safety.
Sexual Content Involving Minors
Any sexually explicit content involving anyone under 18 is strictly illegal and will be reported immediately to NCMEC and law enforcement. Zero tolerance. No exceptions.
Self-Harm & Suicide Encouragement
Messages that encourage, promote, or provide instructions for self-harm or suicide. If someone is in crisis, please direct them to resources (see our Safety Center).
Hate Speech
Content that attacks people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin. This includes slurs, dehumanising language, and symbols of hate.
Doxxing & Privacy Violations
Sharing someone's real name, address, phone number, workplace, school, or other private identifying information without their consent.
Spam & Scams
Sending unsolicited promotional messages, pyramid schemes, phishing attempts, or fake prize claims. Using automated tools to send bulk messages.
📸 Photo & Audio Guidelines
- Only send images/audio that you have the right to share
- No non-consensual intimate imagery ("revenge porn")
- No explicit sexual content (save it for age-appropriate platforms)
- No images or audio designed to scare, disturb, or traumatise
- No copyrighted content without permission
🎬 Reels Guidelines
When publishing messages to the public Reels feed:
- Only publish messages you have consent to share publicly
- Do not re-share or screenshot others' private messages without consent
- Apply the same content standards as direct messages
- Add appropriate context if the message could be misunderstood
📋 Enforcement
Violations of these guidelines may result in:
- Content removal — the message is deleted
- Temporary suspension — restricted access to sending messages
- Permanent ban — for serious or repeated violations
- Law enforcement referral — for threats, CSAM, or other illegal conduct
